Infertility as well as a failed IVF cycle or a pregnancy loss can be taxing
physically, mentally and especially emotionally for you and your spouse. As you
continue your journey to have a child, remember to celebrate and cherish the
union in which God has given you. The Bible says that “a man will leave his
father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let
man not separate" (Matthew 19:5-6).
You must realize that you are already blessed! Your marriage is worth
celebrating and needs to be nurtured. Keep the lines of communication open and
do whatever it takes to keep the marriage strong. If your family also includes
other children that God has entrusted to you (e.g. from a previous marriage,
foster care, or adoption, nieces and nephews, etc.), show them love and
embrace this wonderful gift. It is our hope that the resources listed below will
provide information that will bless you and your family.
